What should you do in the event of a tear?
When the frenulum is short, the glans is pulled down during erection causing pain and tension during sex or masturbation. This tension can lead to a cracking or even tearing of the frenulum. Heavy bleeding can then occur. In this case, keep calm and compress the area for 10 minutes without releasing pressure, using gauze or a clean cloth. This will stop the bleeding and give you time to contact an urologist.
The repair is usually done under local anaesthesia and, for the price of 15 to 21 days of abstinence, things will return to normal.
